Playa Penca is off the beaten path. During low tide, it's possible to beach hop but the immediate neighborhood does not offer much in terms of bar hopping. It is a quiet area for those that want to enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of Costa Rica with some privacy. The road leading up to Playa Penca from Protrero was just repaved and is not as bumpy and dusty as it once was.

Many activities, such as fishing, boating, snorkeling and horseback riding are within a short 10 minute drive. For those who want some nightlife (bars, dancing, gambling) Playa Flamingo is a short 10 minute drive. River rafting, zip lining, jungle walking trips can all be arranged through the rental office at the front of the condominium. Although there are a couple of local restaurants in front of the condominium, the best ones are located 10 minutes away in Flamingo.

Check in and check out is simple, because the property management firm is on site. Housecleaning comes twice per week, and for an extra fee we can arrange to have them come more frequently. Laundry can also be done if requested (for a fee).
